On top of that, there are many discounts for students not only for mass transportation, but also for many sports and cultural events entry tickets. The work market situation in Prague is good as well – unemployment rate here is the lowest in the long term. And another important positive of the Czech metropolis is its safety.

What can you do?

The best start is to arrive, get to know each other and become friends with other students. They will surely provide you with dozens of tips on where to go and what to do. There are many opportunities in Prague for cultural and sports activities. You will find football and ice hockey clubs as well as basketball, baseball or rugby teams in the capital city and there is at least one field for basically every sport in existence. Similarly rich is the culture scene. A great number of theatres, clubs or concert halls will keep you going and wanting more. And if you want to rest after all, you may visit one of the hundreds of coffee-shops or pubs that come in all shapes and sizes here in Prague.
