PhD programme in the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Civil Engineering
My first collaboration with CTU in Prague was in the framework of the International Visegrad Fund scholarship program. I was accepted as a short-time PhD student and was supported at the Department of Architecture of the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
It was my first experience in a science and research career at a foreign university.
I chose the CTU in Prague for my regular studies because it was the best “partner” for my research project and for my research career, with itscompetent staff, modern educational system, sound theoretical basis, close scientific relations with a large number of institutions and organizations, libraries, various databases, and good living conditions.
During my period as a researcher, I have developed myself as an intelligent, responsible, creative, dependable, punctual, hard-working, sociable and purposeful young scientist. Collaboration with senior researchers has opened up new knowledge, resources and contacts for me, and these could be useful for my future as a researcher.
The Czech Republic is an interesting and very nice old European country with a kind and cozy culture and traditions. It is situated near to modern and progressive countries that are open for study, scientific and work opportunities, and also for tourism and other activities.
I have been enjoying my life in Prague! Although I live in a dorm, I have all that I need. I like the architecture of Prague, old and modern streets with trams, the national holidays and Czech cuisine. There are so many artistic activities for everyone.
I enjoy spending a lot of time at the university: attending lecture courses, working with my scientific supervisor and in the library. I am very happy that I have time for my hobbies and for healthy recreation.
I would like to recommend studying at the CTU to other students, as a qualitative and important step towards a successful future.
